| 3 Star, Superior Tourist Class Modern Hotel
The Queens is located within the old city walls of York overlooking the river Ouse, and within the city centre. Minutes from York Minster the hotel is perfectly located for leisure guests exploring the city, and also provides easy access to surrounding routes to cities such as Harrogate and Leeds.
The rooms are all large and spacious. All are in very good condition, as are the bathrooms. The room has all the facilities one would expect from a hotel of this standard such as coffee and tea making facilities etc. Rooms are decorated in a simple design with brighter colours but in a good condition.
The restaurant is a large comfy room decorated in light colours and overlooking the river. The restaurant has a good reputation for its carvery dinners and has a very informal and relaxed atmosphere.
A modern looking pale bricked building, set across 4 floors. Looks attractive because the river flows directly at the side of the hotel. Limited parking available at hotel, but must be pre-booked with hotel in advance. The lobby is rather small upon first appearance but around the corner behind reception is a very large seating area.
A very good first class hotel, ideally located for visitors to the old town of York. |
