The Macdonald Bear Hotel boasts an air-conditioned conference centre and meeting rooms complete with state-of-the-art facilities. At the Macdonald Bear we take our food very seriously - so much so that our restaurant, featuring Modern British Cuisine, has been awarded Two AA Rosettes. 54 bedrooms and suites; award-winning restaurant and informal bar with open fires in winter; state-of-the-art conference centre with six superbly equipped meeting rooms; secluded courtyard; two traditional rooms ideal for a reception or private dinner. Our Chef has also created an exciting Calendar of Events including Live Cookery Demonstrations. The restaurant seats up to 80 people, and for special occasions there is a semi-private area. We also have several private rooms which can seat from 4 to 30 people. The restaurant is also available for private use. Woodstock is perfect for a stroll, with many fine boutiques, antique, interior design and furniture shops, and noteworthy art galleries. It's also an ideal base for exploring the many and various attractions of the Cotswolds. Historic Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford are both only a short drive away. Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and home to the Dukes of Marlborough, with its magnificent park landscaped by Capability Brown, is just a few minutes' walk away up the road. |
